Bhagavad Gita Verses with Meaning, English Transliteration, and Chanting
Bhagavad Gita explains the Essence of Life. It consists of 18 chapters and 701 verses. Each verse or Shloka consists of a couplet, thus totalling 1400 lines. The Bhagavad Gita is nothing but a dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjuna before the beginning of the Kurukshetra War. It is part of the Mahabharatha manuscripts and is the sixth book of the Mahabharatha manuscripts. It should not be confused with the Bhagavada Purana or Srimad Bhagavatham, which is one of Hinduism’s 18 great Puranas called Mahapuranas.
